A new center for treatment and rehabilitation of wild animals has begun formal operations in Złotówek. The opening ceremony took place on the 4 October, which was also the anniversary as World Animal Day.

Wrocław has joined the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact. The commitment to implement urban food systems now brings together 225 cities from around the world. The University of Environmental and Life Sciences, through its scientific, educational, and publicity activities, is supporting the implementation of the pact, which is an expression of concern for the food system of cities and, consequently, the well-being and health of their inhabitants.

Dr. Magdalena Zienowicz admits that it was not an easy project to implement.

Between the 13th and 15th of September the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences welcomed nearly a thousand visitors: veterinarians, scientists, animal breeders, food producers and food processors, as well as the representatives of pharmaceutical companies and animal care organizations.

For the second time we have awarded diplomas and medals to the best beers taking part in the Good Beer Academy competition. Jury was headed by Rafał Kowalczyk, an international judge who emphasized a high standard of the competition where over 80 beers were evaluated.

Scientists from the UPWr Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformatics carried out precise measurements of the Tatra Mountain peaks. As a result, many atlases and textbooks will have to be revised. Świnica turned out to be one meter higher, the Skrajny Granat on Orla Perć by three meters, and the border post in Rysy stands at 2500 m above sea level.
