Projects and initiatives

The university undertakes scientific and educational activities aimed at promoting sustainable cities and communities, as well as life on land. Researchers from UPWr are involved in international projects directly aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and supported by the European Union, such as GrowGreen, BECoop, and FoodSHIFT 2030. A full list of projects conducted at the university under Horizon 2020 can be found on our website.

The implementation of the SDGs is also reflected in the involvement of students in these activities, not only through the educational process but also through participation in student scientific clubs. These groups are engaged in projects such as the creation of community gardens, the search for innovative solutions related to renewable energy sources, water management, and food production.

The pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals is also supported by training sessions organized for external stakeholders, covering topics such as sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, and waste management.
