Declaration of accessibility of the UPWr website

 

The University of Environmental and Life Sciences in Wrocław undertakes to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the provisions of the Act of April 4, 2019 on digital accessibility of public entities’ websites and mobile applications. The accessibility declaration applies to the website of the University of Environmental and Life Sciences in Wrocław.

State in terms of compliance with the Act

The website is partially compliant with the Digital Accessibility of Public Entities' Websites and Mobile Applications Act due to the inconsistencies or exclusions listed below.

Inaccessible content

  1. Incorrect alternative descriptions for some images. In the newly published images, the alternative descriptions are correct. 
  2. Repeated link names on several subpages.
  3. Animations and transparency are used in the basic version of the website, negatively affecting the contrast.
  4. The promotional video does not have an audiodescription option. Work on the preparation of audiodescription is in progress. It will be created by the end of 2023.
  5. Some of the digital documents on the website are in the form of unrecognized scans in pdf format. Most of the pdf files do not have the document structure assigned.
  6. In the contrast version links to Facebook on subpages containing news do not meet WCAG 2.1 requirements.This is due to the need to comply with the brand book of this portal.

  • request that the unavailable information be made available in another alternative form.

The request must include:

  • contact information for the person making the request,
  • an indication of the page or its element to which the request relates,
  • an indication of a convenient form to make the information available if the request is for making  the inaccessible information available in an alternative form.

The request should be processed immediately, at the latest within 7 days. If it is not possible to provide access or to provide access in an alternative form within this time limit, it should be done at the latest within 2 months from the date of filing the request.

Facilities

  • On the website, the contrast meets WCAG requirements at the AAA level and the font size at the A A+ A++ level.
  • The website complies with guideline 2.1.2 Non-locking keyboard (A).
  • The ETR (Easy to Read), machine-readable text file and a video version for the deaf containing information in sign language information about the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences can be found in the „About university” section on the UPWr website.
