The Museum of UPWr was opened in January 2017. It is located on the groundfloor of the main building on Norwida Street.

The museum's collection is divided into two parts. The first is the exhibition part of the museum, where in showcases you can see the history of the university and the faculties, their most important achievements and the founders of the scientific schools, as well as a brief history of the publishing house and the library with beautiful specimens of old books (including the 11-volume Agricultural Encyclopedia of Poland from 1890 and handwritten books). In total, there are about 400 exhibits and 700 photographs, collected thanks to the units of the university, but also from private memorabilia.

The second part of the museum is multimedia - on five touch-sensitive monitors you can watch the history of the university on a timeline, all its facilities on an interactive map, the latest edition of the "History of the University", as well as the pleiad of rectors, professors, honorary professors and honorary doctors; photos, drawings and films.
