Abstract:
The aim of the project is to develop innovative econometric and epidemiological models using, inter alia, remote sensing technologies and artificial intelligence to forecast and monitor the impact of global crises (i.e. the COVID-19 pandemic) on the European economy. As part of the project, it is planned to create a prototype service based on satellite data from the Copernicus program, using artificial intelligence algorithms for the needs of automatic image processing and integration with models and economic indicators. The project involves a consortium of 9 partners from Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Greece and Poland, including both research units and enterprises. The project is to enable the exchange of knowledge in research and innovation between the academic and non-academic sectors and to strengthen scientific cooperation between these sectors.
