Opus 22, Sonata 17 and Miniatura 6 – scientists from the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences have received a total of over PLN 10 million for their research, with UPWr receiving the highest funding in two of the projects.

During the kick-off meeting, representatives of nine partnering universities of the EU GREEN consortium launched a project to build and develop joint activities within the alliance. Universities from Ukraine were invited to cooperate – on the initiative of UPWr, representatives of ten institutions, including those from Kiev and Lviv, came to Cáceres.

On September 1st, Professor Krzysztof Kubiak assumed the position of Rector at the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences. Elected for the 2024-2028 term, the Rector presented nominations to the Vice-Rectors and Deans on September 2nd.

Krzysztof Kotlarz is pursuing a PhD in bioinformatics in the UPWr Doctoral School under the supervision of Prof. Szyda, and a Master's degree in the same subject. He has just received a scholarship to participate in the WCGALP 2022 "World Congress on Genetics Applied to Livestock Production", which is the most important conference for scientists involved in the genetic improvement of farm animals.
