The ECOpicnic, organized by the Student Government of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology, is now behind us. The organizers, in collaboration with the Student Governments of the Faculties of Biotechnology and Food Sciences, and the Faculty of Biology and Animal Sciences, created an event full of pro-ecological initiatives that entertained and educated.

Dr Dominika Kulig PhD and Dr hab. (Associate Professor) Anna Gliszczyńska from the Department of Biotechnology and Food Science received the Prime Minister’s award for their outstanding PhD theses and highly evaluated achievements for which Ms Gliszczyńska was awarded the title of doctor habilitated.

Geoarchaeology, i.e. the use of soil research in archaeology, is becoming Wrocław's spécialité de la maison – says archaeologist Mateusz Krupski from the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, and one of the few micromorphological researchers in Poland. He is the lead author of an article that has just been published in the prominent journal 'Geoderma'.
