Promoting local agriculture and organic food, the FoodSHIFT 2030 project will leave behind more than the community and school gardens that have been established in Wrocław in recent years. – We can see that the community is ready to build a more local food system and we are convinced that the last 42 months of work are only the beginning of change, says Dr Małgorzata Świąder from the Institute of Spatial Management at UPWr.

In accordance with its development strategy, the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences aims to intensify international partnerships. The 'Study in Poland' conference is now behind us, but we are still looking forward to other international projects that are in line with the principles of internationalisation, providing scientists with greater mobility and creating interdisciplinary opportunities.

Two projects from the Miniatura 6 competition will be carried out by scientists from the UPWr Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences. Professor Małgorzata Kapelko-Żeberska will work on a new method for obtaining resistant starch, and Dr. Robert Gajda will work on developing the first questionnaire in Poland to assess the nutritional risk of seniors living in local communities.
