Professor Krzysztof Grzymajło from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology was granted over 3 million PLN from the National Science Centre’s Sonata Bis 10 program. In his research, he will investigate the relationship between the host, the pathogen and the host’s microbiome in the early stages of a Salmonella infection.

"Bioinformatic modelling of the effect of probiotic supplementation on the microbiome of rearing ponds and the digestive system of carp" is the subject of a research project for which funding in the Opus competition was obtained by Prof. Joanna Szyda.

The Polish Accreditation Committee positively assessed Faculty of Veterinary Medicine courses in 2021, awarding them with a Certificate of Excellence in Education. The next programme evaluation will take place in the academic year 2026/2027.
