Dr Dominika Kulig PhD and Dr hab. (Associate Professor) Anna Gliszczyńska from the Department of Biotechnology and Food Science received the Prime Minister’s award for their outstanding PhD theses and highly evaluated achievements for which Ms Gliszczyńska was awarded the title of doctor habilitated.

Professor Tomasz Hadaś, a member of the UPWr Doctoral School Council and chairman of its recruitment committee for the 2021/2022 academic year, admits that increasingly often Doctoral School candidates know what they want both from the school and from their supervisor. Genetics is the science of the future – Professor Alina Wieliczko, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Regional Cooperation, said in opening statements on behalf of Rector Professor Roman Kołacz. These words marked the beginning of a three-day genetics conference, including topics on many aspects of scientific achievements regarding animal genetics in both farm and wild animals.
