The rectors of seven Wroclaw universities and academies, including the rector of Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences (Professor Roman Kołacz), have signed an agreement concerning the foundation of the Wrocław Academic Union.

Rector Professor Roman Kołacz, who welcomed the invited guests by recalling the history and roots of the University, opened the University ceremony, which took place on Saturday the 18 December in John Paul II hall.

The commemoration of the 65th anniversary of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was kicked off by a speech delivered by Dean Professor Jan Twardon. This was followed by an address from Professor Roman Kołacz, rector of the Wrocław University of Environmental Life and Sciences.

You are the finest and noblest asset to our University, a true diamond, which has decorated our history and has made a huge contribution to the University of Environmental and Life Sciences in Wrocław – Rector Professor Roman Kołacz said while welcoming the Doctorates of Honoris Causa in the university’s Senate Hall.

Genetics is the science of the future – Professor Alina Wieliczko, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Regional Cooperation, said in opening statements on behalf of Rector Professor Roman Kołacz. These words marked the beginning of a three-day genetics conference, including topics on many aspects of scientific achievements regarding animal genetics in both farm and wild animals.

A two-day working meeting of members of Regional Innovation Implementation Community (RIC), which has been dedicated to explaining goals, prospects and the direction of activities of the Climate Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) and the role of Wrocław, our region and Poland in this undertaking, has finished with a press conference which included rector professor Roman Kołacz.
