UPWr awarded at the Polish Product of the Future Gala
A team from the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences was awarded in the Polish Product of the Future contest organized by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development and the National Center for Research and Development in the category for higher education institutions.
The Polish Product of the Future contest was created in order to select and promote innovative products and technologies developed in Poland, which have the potential to appear not only on the domestic but also global market. As many as 163 projects were submitted to the 24th edition of the contest, but only about twenty were appreciated. The winners received a financial award of PLN 100,000, and the other awarded teams received PLN 25,000.

A team of scientists from the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences won an honourable mention in the Polish Product of the Future contest in the category of higher education institutions for a project concerning the technology of determining precise orbits of navigation satellites, in particular the European Galileo system.

This is not the first success of UPWr scientists in the space industry. Recently, the European Space Agency and the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences signed an agreement as a result of which a new ESA laboratory in Poland will be established - ESA_Lab @ UPWr. It will focus on developing navigation systems, technology transfer and exchange for young scientists who want to develop in the field of space and satellite research.
The award in the Polish Product of the Future competition for the project "Technology of determining precise orbits of navigation satellites, in particular the European Galileo system" in the amount of PLN 25,000 was financed from the funds of sub-measure 2.4.1. POIR "Center for analyzes and pilots of new inno_LAB instruments"
