Biological sciences - the third animation about the leading disciplines of UPWr describes the main research areas of our scientists in this field.
Metabolic engineering of microorganisms, the use of yeast, filamentous fungi and bacteriophages, for such things as the production of biofuels, decomposition of plastic and the fight against diseases no longer cured by antibiotics, stem cells that can help fight obesity, diabetes or osteoporosis. These are just some of the problems that UPWr researchers are studying in the field of biological sciences. All this is shown by the third of a series of seven animations presenting the leading disciplines at the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences.
