The choir from the Wrocław University of Life and Environment Sciences won two awards at the International Choir Festival held in Lloret de Mar Spain. The choir was recognized with a first place award in the Catalonian song category and came in second in the category titled ‘sacred song’. Professor Marta Kierska-Witczak from the Wrocław Music Academy conducted the choir. She acted as a guest conductor, filling in for the choir artistic manager Professor Alan Urbanek.
This is the second international success of the choir in recent years. In 2011 the choir was a winner at the International Choir Contest in Ohrid in Macedonia. There are 30 students in the Choir, which is managed by Professor Alan Urbanek.
