For this year’s Subject Ranking – 71 subjects were rated. - Landing the position of best agricultural university in Poland in the "Perspektywy" ranking is not only a huge success for us, but it also is a testament to the effect of the changes initiated by the higher education reform  - says prof. Jarosław Bosy, the rector of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, adding that his predecessors also worked hard towards achieving  first place on the podium, consistently focusing on the scientific development of the university. He also reminded that for several years now UPWr has been listed in the Shanghai Ranking as well.

- Our veterinary medicine and human nutrition studies have broken through into an international level, and this year's Perspektywy University Ranking shows how well-established they are in Poland. Last year, in a ranking based on data from the Web of Science database, our university took 347th place in the world and 8th in Poland in terms of the scientific impact of our publications and, respectively, 330th and 3rd place in the category involving gold open access publications. The University of Leiden which is responsible for this ranking analysed publications from 1,176 universities from around the world. We wouldn’t be so successful - I think we should talk directly about our ranking ratings - if it wasn’t for all the hard and, above all, creative work of our scientists - highlights Rector Jarosław Bosy.
