A picturesque location, lush greenery, a pond and a historic nineteenth-century palace all located in an eight-hectare park. Soon this garden city will be a reality and a University environmental education center.

A place where preschool and school pupils as well as University students and Wrocław citizens will be able to take a tour with an audio guide included.

This has all been made possible thanks to the approval of a new project called “Adaptation of the park complex at Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences for the purposes of ecological education of society.” The project was among nine proposals selected as part of the “Improvement of the natural environment, ecological protection and flood control in Lower Silesia” (Dolny Śląsk) Regional Operational Program for Lower Silesia (Dolny Śląsk) 2007-2013.

The project will be implemented in the Arboretum of the University of Environmental and Life Sciences in Wroclaw. The proposed investment involves the modification and renovation of the Arboretum park to operate for environmental education purposes. The project's plan includes the construction of natural and educational paths and lighting, the reconstruction of natural viewing points, complementing the planting of native vegetation, and the installation of educational infrastructure.

Environmental – the educational path will run through the park's nature trails and will be 1,5 kilometers long. Walking the path, visitors will have a chance to observe a large collection of native woody plants. Eight stopovers will offer different ecological information covering topics such as local vegetation, environmental degradation/protection, ecological biodiversity as well as the behavior of people who damage wildlife by littering, grass and ditch burning, etc.

The educational path's most interesting places will be the two natural viewing points: the bridge overlooking the park's clearing and the historic oak tree - a monument of nature. Other noteworthy places include the arboretum's woodland and Gloriette which has a beautiful view of the body of water, meadow and forest will.
