Academia Europaea has already opened
The inauguration ceremony for Academia Europaea was held on 16th of December in Wrocław Town Hall. Rafał Dutkiewicz and Lars Walloe – the president of Academia Europaea, opened the new, European institution.
The University of Environmental and Life Sciences in Wrocław was represented by Professor Roman Kołacz – Rector and Professor Józefa Chrzanowski – Vice-Rector for student affairs and education on the ceremony.
The Europaea Academia was established with a great deal of support from the President of Wrocław, Rafał Dutkiewicz and the Rectors of Wrocław Universities. Its purpose is to become an institution promoting European education as well as to become a contact point for strengthening European relationships between academic communities. In addition, the center will deal with the organization of international events e.g. summer schools and training courses, conferences, workshops and other interdisciplinary projects. It is another step towards developing a European movement and for creating a Platform of Research, Education and Innovation.
