Conference dedicated to the well-being of international scientific staff at Polish universities. Organized by the Faculty of Psychology at the University of SWPS in Wrocław, the meeting aims to focus attention on the needs and challenges faced by foreign doctoral students and academic staff.

The conference is co-organized by: the Committee of Foreign Affairs of the Main Council of Science and Higher Education (Chairperson: Prof. Katarzyna Byrka), the Committee of International Affairs of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (KRASP) (Chairperson: Prof. Jerzy Lis), and the Committee of Communication and Social Responsibility (Chairperson: Prof. Roman Cieślak).

The main topics addressed during the conference include:

  1. Attracting international academic staff to Polish universities - how does it happen and how can it be further improved?
  2. Challenges and barriers for international scientific staff coming to Poland.
  3. Utilizing foreign and Polish solutions and best practices.


The conference will take place in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and remote participation. The number of in-person participants will be limited.

After the event, the organizers plan to prepare a conference report and an article for publication in the Forum Akademickie journal. Additionally, an open meeting of the Committee of Foreign Affairs of the Main Council and the Committee of Communication and Social Responsibility of KRASP will be held on Tuesday, June 20, from 9:00 to 12:00.
