Eva Axner

Professor Eva Axnér graduated from the veterinary program at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in 1991. She received her PhD in 2000 with the thesis “Sperm Morphology and Maturation in the Domestic Cat (Felis silvestris catus), with special Reference to the Morphology and Function of the Epididymis” and became an ECAR diplomate (small animals) in 2002. In 2012 she became a full professor at SLU. Scientific activities are mostly focused on reproduction in cats, but she has also interests in research in dogs and wild animal reproduction. She also works as a clinician in reproduction, and is responsible for the small animal fertility clinic and dog semen bank at SLU.
