Regulation of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences on measures to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus among members of the community of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences

General rules

  • You no longer need to cover your nose and mouth with a mask at the university
  • People with symptoms of a cold (fever, cough, runny nose) are asked to stay at home and contact their GP.

In case you do catch COVID-19:

UPWr employees diagnosed with COVID-19 are asked to inform their immediate supervisor about this fact in order to organise remote work for other employees of the unit. If the employee teaches classes they should inform the dean as well, in order to decide about the possibility of online classes. The direct supervisor of an employee reporting COVID-19 should provide information about the sick employee to the vice-rector for Organization and Development of the University to the following address: prorektor.rozwoj@upwr.edu.pl

UPWr students diagnosed with COVID-19 are asked to inform their dean through their dean's office, in order to make a decision on a possible temporary transfer to online classes. The dean's office should provide information about the sick student to the vice-rector for University Organization and Development at the following address: prorektor.rozwoj@upwr.edu.pl.

Postgraduate students or participants of another form of education diagnosed with COVID-19 are asked to inform the person responsible for the organization of that form of education (head of postgraduate studies, director of the Open University of the Third Age, training, course, workshop, etc. planner) who may decide to temporarily transfer the classes online. They should then provide information about the sick person to the  vice-rector for University Organization and Development at the following address: prorektor.rozwoj@upwr.edu.pl.

PhD students diagnosed with COVID-19 are asked to inform the relevant dean's office (if you’re in the old doctoral studies system) or the Doctoral School office and the head of the unit in which they are carrying out their PhD, in order to make a decision on a possible temporary transfer to online classes and switching to remote work for other employees of the unit). If they also conduct classes, additionally the dean should be informed in order to make a decision on a possible temporary transfer to online classes. The Dean's Office / Doctoral School Office should forward information about the sick doctoral student to the vice-rector for Organization and Development of the University to the following address: prorektor.rozwoj@upwr.edu.pl.

UPWr international mobility programme scholarship holders diagnosed with COVID-19, are asked to inform the International Relations Department, which should implement the procedure set out above, accordingly. The Department of International Relations should forward the information about the sick scholarship holder to the vice-rector for Organization and Development of the University to the following address: prorektor.rozwoj@upwr.edu.pl.

Dorm residents who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 are asked to inform the head of the dormitory about it. The head of the dormitory should forward this information to the Building Management Centre and Student Affair Centre as well as to the vice-rector for Organization and Development of the University to the following address: prorektor.rozwoj@upwr.edu.pl.

Deans need approval from the vice-rector for Student Affairs and Education before deciding to temporarily transfer classes online.

Electronic document flow

The internal circulation of documents should, as far as possible, be exclusively in electronic form. Original documents should be kept in the unit which received them and forwarded electronically, e.g. in the form of a scan. The unit to which the documents are submitted is obliged to verify them in terms of formalities and store them in an appropriate manner ensuring adequate protection against their damage, destruction or loss.

From March 28, 2022 all classes will be held at the university, in-person. Classes conducted online for another reason, such as the study programme stating that they are meant to be conducted with the use of distance learning methods and techniques, will be an exception. In other justified situations, such as someone being diagnosed with COVID-19, the deans will be able to decide to temporarily make classes remote.

Rules for the UPWr Indoor Swimming Pool at ul. Chełmońskiego 43a:

  1. It is obligatory to cover the mouth and nose (with a mask) at the swimming pool area, except for the showers and pool. Hands should be disinfected at the entrance and exit from the facility and a distance of 1.5 m should be kept. People with COVID-19 symptoms, in quarantine or living with someone in quarantine are not allowed to swim at the facility.
  2. The information from point 1 is available at the entrance of the swimming pool, as well as in the form of appropriate information signs, i.e. in the hall, drying room, toilets.
  3. Common areas, such as the entrance, cloakrooms, changing rooms and elements, such as door handles, handles, benches, clothing and deposit lockers, light switches, battery taps, handrails and sanitary surfaces must be regularly disinfected (several times a day).
  4. Ventilating the building regularly (in nice weather, leaving the entrance door and windows open) is recommended. If for safety reasons the door can’t be left open, the handles and often touched surfaces should be disinfected regularly.
  5. A seat limit has been introduced in the audience. Every second seat is safe to use. Seats that cannot be occupied are appropriately marked.
  6. Only 75% of the swimming pool can be occupied. People vaccinated against COVID-19 do not count into the limit. Information on the limit of people is available at the entrance to the facility.
  7. People swimming in the pool should be distributed evenly in accordance with the rope division of the pool.
  8. Bracelets and locker keys should be disinfected after every use. 

The rules in force in the Sportsl Hall of the UPWr at ul. Chełmońskiego 43:

  1. It is obligatory to cover the mouth and nose (with a mask) at the sports hall, except for when exercising. Hands should be disinfected at the entrance and exit from the facility and a distance of 1.5 m should be kept. People with COVID-19 symptoms, in quarantine, or living with someone in quarantine, are not allowed to exercise at the facility.
  2. The information from point 1 is available at the entrance of the swimming pool, as well as in the form of appropriate information signs, i.e. in the hall, drying room, toilets.

  7. Only 75% of the sports hall capacity can be occupied. People vaccinated against COVID-19 do not count into the limit. Information on the limit of people is available at the entrance to the facility.
  8. Depending on the area of ​​the gym, a limited number of users is allowed in the rooms. There is a maximum of 1 person per 10 m2. People vaccinated against COVID-19 do not count into the limit.
  9. Locker keys should be disinfected after every use.
